Background

Margarita is a transplant from Southern California and has raised three daughters in Norman with her spouse Kimball Milton, retired OU physics professor. Her pride and commitment to the Norman Community began with OU and spread to the Norman Public Schools.
In addition to the Modern Dance Program in the high schools, she taught creative dance in elementary schools as a visiting artist. Margarita taught classroom teachers state wide as a Dance Specialist with Oklahoma A+ Schools, from 2004-2016.

She volunteered for the after-school program Mosaicos, which serves Hispanic Children grades K-5th Grade at Truman Elementary. As a member and chair of the Adult Education Committee, Margarita organized numerous Roundtable Events for St. Stephen’s United Methodist Church.

Margarita is especially fulfilled when she is quilting and painting.
