Dr. Nick Migliorino, NPS Superintendant, will be introducing the new high school principals: Dr. Kristi Gray (Norman North) and David Jackson (Norman High).

Gray was an assistant principal at Norman North prior to her current role as the district’s director of Gifted and Advanced Programs - a position she has held since 2014. In this role, she has overseen all aspects of the district’s Gifted and Talented, Advanced Placement and AVID programs, as well as coordinated College and Career Readiness exams. Gray was elected as College Board Oklahoma’s at-large representative for the Southwest Region and is an AVID District Leadership consultant. She also has served in a state leadership position for the ACT.

Prior to becoming assistant principal at Norman North, Gray served students at U.S. Grant High School in Oklahoma City as an assistant principal, dean of instruction and transformation coach. She also has been the director of the curriculum, professional development, and federal programs, as well as testing coordinator, for the Little Axe Public School District. Prior to her time in Oklahoma, Dr. Gray was a mathematics department chair and teacher in Garland, Texas, where she also was named Lakeview Centennial Teacher of the Year.

Gray earned a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Oklahoma and a master’s degree in secondary education from Texas A&M University. She further studied curriculum, instruction and leadership to earn a doctorate from the University of Phoenix.
