District Rotary Foundation Chair

A life-long resident of Oklahoma, Mike obtained an undergraduate degree in Agriculture from Oklahoma State University and his law degree from Oklahoma City University in 1972.  Since that time, Mike has been in the private practice of law in Sayre, Oklahoma working in the real property and oil and gas areas.

Mike first joined the Sayre Rotary Club in 1973 and was dropped from membership within six months for poor attendance!  He joined the Sayre club a second time in 1993 and has served as President of his local club three times.  He has served as Assistant District Governor and a trainer at Lone Star PETS, traveled to Colima, Mexico several times as a member of a literacy group affiliated with Rotarians. He was our team leader for the District 2008 GSE team to Denmark.  Mike is a multiple Paul Harris fellow, major donor and a member of the Paul Harris Society.

In addition to being our Rotary District Governor 2011-2012, Mike now serves as the District Rotary Foundation Chair.

Jeannene and Mike were married while attending OSU and now have two grown children, Jarrod who lives in Sayre with two daughters and Melissa who lives in Weatherford with two sons and a daughter. Jeannene spends most of her time helping her grandchildren with their 4-H projects and she is the director of an national award winning AReading is Fundamental@ literacy program for young Sayre readers.
