Background

Dr. Kim Gaddie has been a resident of Norman for over 20 years.  Originally from Georgia, she and her husband Dr. Keith Gaddie moved here from New Orleans when he took his faculty position at the University of Oklahoma.  She is the managing editor for Social Science Quarterly housed at the University of Oklahoma.  She earned her Master degree from the Gaylord College at OU in Advertising and her Doctorate from the Department of Communication at OU where she studied Political Advertising and Political Communication.  Kim and her husband, Dr. Keith Gaddie, will also be serving as one of the founding Faculy-In-Residence families for The new Headington Residential College opening at OU in the Fall of 2017.  She has 4 children; her oldest son Collin (21) who is a Senior at OU studying Broadcast & Electronic Media, Alec (19) who is a Junior studying Engineering Physics, a daughter Cassidy (17) who is a senior at Norman North and is currently also doing concurrent enrollment at OU, and her youngest daughter Kenedy (13) who is a 7th grader at Whittier. Her other "babies" include her 4 English bulldogs.
